(Washington, DC)  --  FEMA is putting a limited amount of furloughed employees back on the job due to the threat from Tropical Storm Karen.  The Gulf Coast from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle is under a hurricane watch with the storm expected to make landfall near Mobile, Alabama Saturday night or Sunday morning.  Some FEMA workers in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, and Washington, DC are back on the job.  Eighty-three percent of FEMA's workforce was furloughed when the partial government shutdown kicked in on Tuesday.
