Honoring First Responders: Congratulations Richard Janise!

Congratulations to Richard Janise, our First Responder honored for the month of October!

Richard, firefighter with Clark County Fire Department, was nominated by his wife Rose. She wanted to recognize her husband because "he was on duty the night of Route 91. Due to his 21 year experience in the army, he was the 1st one to tell his captain what was happening for his captain to be the 1st person to call dispatch with an active shooter call. Their engine staged immediately helping dozens of patients within the 1st few minutes of their arrival. All of this knowing his step daughter was @ the concert & unable to get a hold of her. He had to make the awful call to family letting them know Rylie was in harms way. During serving in the military he was used to running toward the gunfire, which he wanted to do to go save his step daughter. Unfortunately, firefighters cannot go in until a scene is deemed safe. His step daughter was shot that night. He also helped at Valley...".
