Wearing all black in the fiery Las Vegas heat, Joel and Benji had the crowd in a frenzy, throwing their hands in the air as they opened with "The Anthem," a song that embodies teenage rebellion.
The band then broke into the classic "Girls & Boys" before performing "Life Can't Get Much Better" off their 2016 album Youth Authority. Joel Madden sang "Let's just stay together, these scars are tokens of promises broken," an ode to their reunion and a reflection back on their career. They then wrapped their breakneck set with "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous," with Joel telling the crowd "I want you to know what it's like to see a full Good Charlotte show." The crowd jumped in unison as the chorus broke out. "Let's take it back to 2001, 2002," he screamed.
The brothers then caught up with iHeartRadio backstage after the show. Joel told us "(the) crowd was great, it was a rock crowd." Benji added, "Everybody had a good time and everybody went off."
We're glad you're back, Madden brothers and we can't wait to see what's next!
