Disney+ is About To Get More Expensive

If you love Disney+, it's about to get more expensive. The company announced Wednesday that their ad-free subscription will climb to $10.99 per month, starting December 8th in the U.S. That's a $3 monthly increase from $7.99.

However, if you're willing to watch ads, you can will be able to get the ad-supported version of Disney+ for $7.99 per month. That tier will be called "Disney+ Basic" and the ad-free plan will be called "Disney+ Premium."

So how many ads can you expect? The company promised to limit the total ad load to an average of four minutes of commercials per hour. Furthermore, the preschool programming will not have any commercials at all.

How does that compare to other platforms, like Hulu? Their sister service Hulu averages nearly twice as much ad time.

As for Hulu, their ad-free service will increase by $2 per month, from $12.99 to $14.99, starting October 10th. Hulu with ads will increase by $1 per month, from $6.99 to $7.99.

If you're a fan of the Disney Bundle, which bundles Hulu with ads, Disney+ no ads and ESPN+, it will increase from $13.99 to $14.99 per month. And the ad free bundle will remain at $19.99 per month.

I still say worth it, but that probably depends on how many services you subscribe to.
