Over the past five years, Chuck Swaggerty of Sioux City, Iowa, has collected and donated more than 1,500 coats to kids in his community.
Chuck says he remembers not having a winter coat as a child -- and was inspired to help out when he saw students walking through snow and cold temperatures to get to school.
He’s been collecting coats and money from local stores and other donors -- and then bringing piles of coats to elementary schools for kids in need.
With temperatures dropping, he’s back in action. He recently delivered 40 coats -- and has a goal of rounding up a total of 400 total this year.
