About a week ago, the Milwaukee Bucks won the NBA Championship, defeating the Phoenix Suns four games to two.
One Phoenix Suns fan -- Adam Richardson from Richmond, Virginia -- traveled to Milwaukee for Game 3. Unfortunately for Adam, his team lost that game. But, he was so impressed by the courtesy and hospitality demonstrated by the Bucks fans in Milwaukee that he donated $1,000 to a food bank in Milwaukee.
In a note to the food bank, Adam said that he wanted to honor the people of Milwaukee by making the generous contribution -- and also added, “Go Suns” in the note.
One of the administrators of the food bank -- Scott Marshall -- explained that they “get checks in the mail all the time, but this one was different.”
The spirit behind the gift was certainly special -- and it will have a real impact on those in need as Adam’s $1,000 donation will allow the food bank to serve 3,000 meals. Sportsmanship at it's finest folks!
