So I just moved to town, Henderson to be exact. And I've been flooded and flattered with lots of "welcome to Vegas" calls and even a few gifts. Well, one of these gifts was intended to be a gag gift that ended up backfiring on the sender. Let me explain.
I'll start by saying I'm a vegan. I think you're required to open with that, but I digress. So I've had a long going back and forth with a friend who always liked to make jokes about my dietary choices. So when it was announced that I was hired at 95.5 The Bull, he thought it funny to send me a GIANT back of carrots. I laughed, sure. But I wasn't gonna give him the satisfaction of that, nor was I going to just throw this bag away. It would have taken me a year to eat all of those carrots!
So I looked up a horse stables locally and the folks at Gala Stud Farm were grateful for the donation. There is an old adage "When Life Hands You Lemons, Make Lemonade." Well, when life hands you carrots, pay it forward.
