The post was written by Dr. Nicole Namie, one of the three veterinarians the animal hospital has on staff. It has gathered more than 125,000 shares on Facebook since it was posted Sept. 20.
Smiths Station, Alabama is right along the Georgia border and about an hour east of Montgomery. The animal hospital has been serving the community since 1998.
