It's been over a year since Sam Hunt has released a new song. "Body Like a Back Road" was released in February 2017. The song became Hunt's most successful song to date, after it found success on both country and pop charts. A previous album had been scrapped for the "heavy direction" it was taking after his split with Hannah Lee Fowler. However, Hunt and Fowler later reunited and are now married - their engagement was announced not long after the single "Drinkin Too Much" was released.
