Kelsea Ballerini is teasing new music coming the end of the week on Friday, November 8. The country singer posted a photo to Instagram Wednesday (November 6) showing a pair of white cowgirl boots next to a bowl of popcorn. "I don't want to go to the club. 11/8," Ballerini writes in the caption.
Although the post doesn't share many details, it can be assumed that Ballerini is planning to release a new song this Friday possibly titled, "I Don't Want To Go To The Club." The country star also dropped a hint on Twitter in a response to a tweet from E! People's Choice. Referencing the new song, Ballerini writes, "I don't want to go to the club, but I do want to go to the People's Choice Awards."
The new song will follow up Ballerini's single, "homecoming queen?" The emotional track is the first glimpse at Ballerini's forthcoming album expected to drop in 2020. She's revealed that her new project will have more sad, heartbreaking songs. Although the country singer is currently happily married to fellow artist, Morgan Evans, her new album will look at relationships from her past and why they did not work out.
"I think now that I'm married, it gives me such a perspective on the other relationships that failed me," Ballerini shares in an interview with The Tennessean. "I'm writing the most heartbreaking songs I've ever written because I understand what went wrong before now. I think the older I get...the more confident I feel about writing that kind of stuff. I write my songs, and I play guitar, and I write about what I'm going through. I'm just really excited to clean the slate again."
Stay tuned for more details to come about Ballerini's new song coming Friday, November 8.
