Blake Shelton And Pitbull Turn Up The Heat In New 'Get Ready' Video

Blake Shelton joined rapper, Pitbull, in the new music video for an upbeat party anthem titled "Get Ready."

The video starts off on a front porch in the country with Pitbull saying, "Blake, this is far from the 305, Miami, magic city lights." Shelton responds, "Pit, welcome to the country side."

The music then immediately picks up as the clip transitions to a big barn party in Tennessee featuring some girls in cutoffs line-dancing. The remainder of the video alternates between Tennessee and Florida, where Pitbull has a party of his own style featuring poolside dancers in bikinis at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

"Get Ready" was first released back in September on Pitbull's Libertad 458 album. The track samples Ram Jam's classic rock hit, "Black Betty."

Pitbull previously revealed that the initial inspiration to create "Get Ready" came after meeting Shelton at a music festival in Oregon.

"I’m in the trailer, and all of a sudden a dog runs up on me. I go to pick up the dog and say ‘Blake, what’s the dog’s name?’ He says ‘Black Betty,’ so it stayed in my mind," Pitbull explained. "We jumped on the plane and I told DJ Chino ‘Hey, don’t we got a record called “Black Betty” we can sing on?’ Sure enough, he played it for me."

He continues, "We been sitting on it since 2014, and now we’re shooting a music video here in Nashville in 2020. It goes to show that patience is a virtue!”
