Dolly Parton Drops a Million Dollars to Fight COVID-19

Dolly Parton is already a national treasure, but now you can add HERO to her list of accolades. The country icon sunk $1 million into the COVID-19 research that has resulted in the Moderna vaccine, which is said to provide over 95 percent protection from the virus. She made the donation through Nashville's Vanderbilt University, one of the institutions studying the vaccine.

Still not buying this story? Doctor Meade Krosby did some fact-checking.
