WATCH: 'The Last Blockbuster' Coming To Netlfix

If you're like me, you grew up with many Blockbuster nights in the 90s. Allow me to put on my "boomer" hat and say, kids today will never understand the nostalgia attached to this brand.

Well Netflix is officially releasing a documentary about the last Blockbuster store left. It's called "The Last Blockebuster" and it looks like a must watch for Gen Xers like me.

It focuses on the last Blockbuster standing in the world, which happens to be in Bend, Oregon. I took my kids to check it out last summer and it brought back so many memories. They even had lots of movie memorabilia and merch for sale. It felt like a Blockbuster and a movie museum combined.

My kids couldn't care less. But they never knew the struggle of browsing in person to pick the perfect movie to watch.

A recent statement on the documentary’s official Facebook page reads, “A lot of people know that Blockbuster had the chance to buy Netflix early on and they passed on the opportunity. In an ironic twist of fate, our movie The Last Blockbuster is coming to Netflix one week from today. We are beyond excited for people to get to see this tribute to era of home video on the world’s largest streaming service. Just don’t forget to rewind it when you’re done watching it and bring it back by noon on Wednesday.”

I bet they wish they could turn back time and not pass on that purchase.

The world’s remaining Blockbuster was previously transformed into an Airbnb, allowing fans to reminisce watching TV on a pull-out couch.

The Last Blockbuster premieres on Netflix on March 15.
