WATCH: Bobcat Attack Caught On Security Camera

A video has gone viral of a rare bobcat attack. It really is a dramatic video! In it, a husband proves that chivalry isn't dead. Without hesitation, he jumps in to protect his wife and grabs the animal, while putting himself in harms way.

As it turns out, the bobcat had rabies, which explains the crazy, aggressive behavior.

  1. Bobcats do live around the Las Vegas area, though they typically go unseen and rarely attack. However, should you see a wild cat (lynx, bobcat or cougar) here's what to do:
Keep your cool. As with any wild animal encounter, it's important to not panic.
  2. Do NOT Turn into a Paparazzo. Put the camera down!
  3. Wait a Little While.
  4. Call for Reinforcements if Necessary.

If you find yourself out in the wilderness, back away slowly and deliberately from the animal. The more distance between you and the cat, the better. Do not run away as that could trigger the feline's hunting instincts. You can scare it away by spraying water or making noise.

Here's the video, WARNING: NSFW language toward the end of the video. But can you blame the guy?
