School Bus Shortage Recruits Party Bus For Kids

A Boston high school field trip involving a party bus and a stripper pole is shining a light on a real problem facing the education system today.

An 11th grade teacher at the Brooke Charter School planned a field trip for his AP language and composition class, but when a reservation for the school bus fell through, he had to turn to plan-B -- a party bus complete with neon lights and a stripper pole.

While the story has drawn a lot of attention and laughs, it actually brings awareness to a problem impacting schools across the country. Districts are having trouble hiring enough bus drivers to transport kids to school and after-school activities. In many cases, it has forced schools to get creative, like reserving a party bus for a field trip.

Hopefully they wiped the bus down thoroughly, before loading it up with kids. Eww.
