There Seems To Be A Patriots Pattern With Raiders Head Coach Interviews

The Las Vegas Raiders made it to the playoffs for the first time this year, amid an array of distractions. Now the task at hand is to identify the top candidate for head coach.

Today, the Raiders will interview New England Patriots' inside linebackers coach Jerod [[ jarr-AHD ]] Mayo for their vacant head coach opening. The 35-year-old former all-pro linebacker, who retired from playing in 2016, has also interviewed for the Denver Broncos head coaching job.

The Raiders appear to be interested in adding leadership from the Patriots' organization. On Friday, they interviewed New England's pro personnel director Dave Ziegler for their general manager opening. They've also discussed that job with Cincinnati Bengals' scout Trey Brown, who spent two years scouting for the Patriots.

Are you seeing this patter too?
