Well, it's official now. Six more weeks of winter are on the way.
Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania is home to "Punxsutawney Phil" and he emerged from his burrow today (Wednesday). According to members of the Inner Circle of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club, the groundhog saw his shadow. According to the tall tale tradition says that means that the region is in for six more weeks of winter.
This tradition dates back to 1887. And Phil's intuition seems to be on point as most of the U.S. is under an intense winter storm warning.
Now, to go watch the Bill Murray classic, in honor of the big day. Alexa, play Sonny & Cher "I Got You Babe."
