Tom Hanks jumped into protector mode when a group of fans got too close to his wife, Rita Wilson while they were out in New York City on Wednesday night.
The actor had a few choice words for the aggressive crowd that nearly knocked Wilson over. After someone bumped into her, she shouted, “Stop it!” And then Hanks yelled, “My wife? Back he f–k off!” A fan can be heard apologizing, saying, “Sorry about that, Tom.”
The couple, who have been married for 34 years, then escaped the chaos, hustling into a waiting car. For the last few weeks, the Oscar winner has been on a press tour to promote the new Baz Luhrmann-directed movie, “Elvis.”
