The dreaded "Dropicana" starts for Las Vegas' drivers this week. Expect heavy delays, with the Nevada Department of Transportation working on the Tropicana exit off the I-15.
Crews will be taking down half of the Tropicana flyover bridge heading into The Strip. The NDOT says the Tropicana overpass needs to be raised because it's too low to meet federal height requirements and often gets smacked by large trucks.
Adding additional lanes will also be part of the project, which isn't expected to finish until 2025, and will cost the state more than 300-million-dollars.
So take your patience on the 15 for the next year and a half... (sigh)
