Las Vegas Could Be Getting A Fourth Major League Team

Las Vegas could be getting a fourth major league sports franchise...and we're not talking baseball.

Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber says Las Vegas and San Diego are the frontrunners to land the league's 30th franchise. Garber is promising a decision by the end of the year.

Garber says Detroit, Phoenix, Sacramento and Tampa are also being considered. In January of last year, the MLS made an exclusive negotiating agreement with billionaires Wes Edens and Naseef Sawiris.

The pair filed to trademark "Las Vegas Villains," noting the name would be associated with a professional soccer franchise.
