Thomas Rhett was the ultimate kid at heart as he and wife Lauren Akins playing the games that Santa Claus brought “for the kids” for Christmas.
The Where We Started superstar shared a hilarious video on Instagram late Tuesday afternoon (December 26), playing Mario Kart in the home that’s still decorated with stockings hung above the fireplace and other holiday decorations throughout the living room. Rhett, who also nodded to the classic video game characters when he dressed up for Halloween this year, wrote in his caption: “Santa brought a Nintendo switch ‘for the kids.’”
Rhett wasn’t alone in playing with the gifts intended for the kids. Russell Dickerson’s wife, Kailey Dickerson, wrote in the comments, “be right there! 🏎️ 💨” Other Instagram users wrote, “Ha! We were playing Mario games too🤣,” “Yeah….. for the kids! 😂😂,” “Same! My husband and I have epic Mario Kart battles after the kids go to bed!,” and “The Kids are definitely enjoying it 🤣,” to list a few.
Rhett and Akins are parents to four young daughters: Willa Gray (8), Ada James (6), Lennon Love (3) and Lillie Carolina, who turned 2 last month. Watch the country star hilariously play with the Nintendo switch “for the kids” here:
