“If you’re seeing this video, you’re hearing one of my new songs before anyone else.”
Dierks Bentley revealed a sneak peek of an unreleased anthem in a video he posted on Instagram on Thursday afternoon (December 19). The country hitmaker confirmed he’s “finishing a few things in the studio before we shut it down for the holidays,” and wanted to know, “what do y’all think?”
Bentley didn’t confirm the song title or announce a release date as of publication time. Whatever the singer-songwriter is working on next will follow Gravel & Gold, Bentley’s 10th studio record that made its debut in February 2023. The 14-track project included “Same Ol’ Me,” “Cowboy Boots” with Ashley McBryde, “Gold,” “High Note” with Billy Strings and more. Bentley said he recorded and re-recorded Gravel & Gold a few times, and the final recording is “nothing but just great vibes, great energy and I think you can hear that throughout the whole album.”
Earlier this year, Bentley also released his version of “American Girl,” the first single to release from a historic, star-studded tribute album to late rocker Tom Petty. Bentley said it was “one of the coolest moments” to play Petty’s guitar in the music video, and he took the stage with “bluegrass virtuosos” Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull and Bronwyn Keith-Hynes to perform the song at the 58th CMA Awards last month.
