Golden Knights fans might have preferred to advance with a shorter series win over the Minnesota Wild but a win in the franchise's first ever game seven will send the Golden Knights into the next round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Knights took game 7 in Las Vegas with a 6-2 win in front of more than twelve thousand loud fans in The Fortress at T-Mobile Arena.
In the second round the Golden Knights will not have home ice advantage as they travel to Denver for games one and two against The Colorado Avalanche.
It was a great start to the long holiday weekend for the Golden Knights.
