Benefit Cosmetic's New Model Has Down Syndrome

The makeup industry has been making a lot of moves lately - having men model the makeup, choosing to not test products on animals and so forth. Now according to the Today Show, Benefits Cosmetics has a brand new model - Kate Grant! 

"Her amazing energy was so infectious and we were captivated by her incredible zest for life and determination," the statement continued. "She embodied everything we stand for as a brand so we knew we had to find a way to work with her."

Benefit added that they hope her new gig helps show "that beauty and makeup shots can absolutely feature people from all walks of life."

Grant is 20 years old and from Ireland but what is so neat about her is that she has Down Syndrome and working to become an advocate for other people like her working to prove people that she can defeat the odds against her especially those social norms!

We cannot wait to see more of Kate Grant!
