In the Feels: 12 Year Old Making Baseball Bats For Charity.

Earlier this summer, a serious thunderstorm knocked down many trees and caused lots of damage in Iowa -- and 12-year-old Tommy Rhomberg wanted to help those who were affected by the devastation.

So, he took a tree branch that had fallen in his yard and got to work shaping it and sanding it into a baseball bat.

This bat took Tommy 10 hours to create, but it was well worth it. When people had heard that Tommy had created a bat -- by hand -- out of a branch that had been knocked down in the storm, they requested their very own.

So, Tommy got to work.

He set up a lathe and partnered with his grandfather, promising money from each purchase of a bat would go to a local relief fund.

So far, Tommy has raised thousands of dollars for his community by making and selling 100 baseball bats out of wood brought down by the storm, with orders coming in from as far away as Arizona and Connecticut.

Tommy continues to work on the project, raising money andkeeping everyone posted on his progress with his Facebook page.
