Dolly Parton donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University, which helped in the creation of the Moderna COVID vaccine, but Dolly says she got “a lot more credit than I deserve" when it comes to the jab.
In an interview with Britain’s Absolute Radio Country, Dolly says she donated the money because she "I knew something bad was on the rise and I just wanted to kind of help with that.”
“Mine was a small part of course, but I probably get a lot more credit than I deserve,” she shares, “but I was happy to be part of that and to be able to try to stop something in its tracks that’s really become such a monster for all of us. I was happy to do that.”
