Loretta Lynn has announce an all-star concert to help the victims of last month’s floods. Well, it turns out Morgan Wallen is doing the same.
The embattled singer will return to the stage tomorrow for a benefit concert at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works to raise money for flood survivors in Humphreys County, and surrounding areas. The concert will be Morgan's first since headlining the Ryman in January.
“I’ve been touched and heartbroken by the stories I’ve heard from the recent flooding and its impact in Middle Tennessee. Wanted to do my part to help,” he shared on social media. “Proud that this is my first official show in such a long time. Hope you guys can make it on such short notice.”
The already sold-out show, dubbed "Morgan Wallen & Friends," will feature two acoustic sets, with Morgan joined by a whole host of friends including Dierks Bentley, Cole Swindell, HARDY, Lainey Wilson, Josh Thompson, Ernest, Ben Burgess, Jared Mullins and Lathan Warlick. Since tickets are sold out you can also stream the show as well and all the proceeds will go towards helping Waverly.
Money raised will go to The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and the Tennessee Emergency Response Fund, with grants from the Fund going to nonprofits supporting relief and restoration in areas of Middle Tennessee affected by the severe storms and floods.
