A non-profit rejected a pledge by Britney Spears’s sister to donate a percentage of her books sales.
The mission of the charity organization called This Is My Brave is to end stigma behind "mental illness and addiction." They spotlight stories told by people, who're flourishing despite their diagnosis.
Jamie Lynn Spears said that sales of her memoir, Things I Should Have Said, would support This Is My Brave. The non-profit told her, “Thanks, but no thanks.”
The formal statement at Instagram directed to the #FreeBritney crowd, (quote) “We heard you. We’re taking action. We are deeply sorry to anyone we offended. We are declining the donation from Jamie Lynn Spears’ upcoming book.”
Things I Should Have Said is scheduled for release in January.
