The new “Sex & The City” series “And Just Like That…” debuts next month on HBO Max, and if you’re a huge fan who always wondered what it would be like to live in New York like Carrie Bradshaw, Airbnb is giving you a chance to find out.
Airbnb has teamed with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to offer fans a chance to stay in a replica of Carrie’s Manhattan apartment. Although Carrie’s place was actually on the Upper East Side, the replica is located in the Chelsea neighborhood of the Big Apple, and features all the décor fans love about Carrie’s apartment including her palm-leaf-print bench, a replica of bedspread from the original show, her mid-century modern credenza, and more. It even includes her filled-to-the-brim walk-in closet, which guests will have full access to, including jewelry, coats, dresses and shoes. The stay even includes brunch in Chelsea and an all-expenses paid fashion shoot.
The brownstone also features a reading nook with Aidan’s leather chair, there’s a bar kit to make the gals’ favorite drink the Cosmopolitan, and there’s even a 90s-era Apple laptop, which Carrie wrote her articles on.
- “The Carrie Bradshaw character is near and dear to my heart, and revisiting her world for the continuation of the 'Sex and the City' story has been such a joy,” Sarah Jessica Parker said in a press release. “I’m excited for our audience to experience Carrie’s New York like never before and walk in her shoes, quite literally, for the first time.”
Bookings for the Airbnb open Monday at noon EST, and the price is pretty reasonable – only $23 for the night, to honor the 23 years since “Sex & The City’s” launch. Unfortunately, there are only two, one-night stays being offered, one November 12th and one November 13th. And Parker herself is set to help guests with the virtual check-in. Proceeds from the special promotion will benefit The Studio Museum in Harlem.
