The Country Music Hall of Fame is gearing up for a new major exhibit.
The Western Edge: The Roots and Reverberations of Los Angeles Country Rock covers the 1960s to the 1980s and begins with The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Poco, Emmylou Harris, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Linda Ronstadt, and The Eagles. The Dillards and the Kentucky Colonels will also be featured.
The exhibit will also feature artists who came up through the West Coast punk scene, even if they were mostly country and Hispanic acts.
This will include artists such as Rosie Flores, Los Lobos, The Blasters, Lone Justice, Dwight Yoakam, and more. The exhibit will open on September 30th.
