Before the summer started, Brittney Woodrum had never climbed one of Colorado’s big peaks, but she ended the summer climbing each and every one of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks -- and raising $85,000 for charity along the way.
Brittney worked with ShelterBox, a group that helps with disaster relief -- and is known for the big, green boxes they send to those around the world in crisis. Brittney carried one of these boxes on the trails with her.
And in less than 80 days, Brittney was able to climb all 58 of Colorado's "fourteeners," camping most nights and sleeping in her car when she had to.
Brittney admits there was a “sense of relief” upon reaching the top of her final peak -- and is looking forward to a little bit of rest.
But, she’s also spending some time looking forward and trying to put together a similar project next yea
