Fans attending University of Kentucky baseball games this season were invited to bring a teddy bear to the ballpark that would be donated to kids at Kentucky Children’s Hospital.
The fans responded in a big way -- and ended up donating almost 700 stuffed animals.
The coach of the team, Nick Mingione, got together with representatives from Kentucky Children's Hospital to drop off the animals. The bears will be used to bring joy and comfort to patients and their families during their stays at the hospital.
In the middle of all this coronavirus mess, the University of Kentucky baseball team was able to finish their season -- and it was a fun bonus for the team to be able to make such a special donation to a worthy cause.
